The waiting game!

I am past 38 weeks pregnant and am playing the waiting game. I'll only wait until July 1st, which is my induction date! We have to be at the hospital at 6am... We'll be leaving ELizabeth with Jeff's parents, who will drive over the night before. I would have to say that scheduling the induction has made me so nervous. It being planned makes it so different for me. Since, I am 3cm dilated and 80% effaced, I might not make my induction date, but we'll see. We are almost in "get-ready for baby" mode...

In the meantime, we are still having a lot of fun with Elizabeth. I could have sworn she had a red bull for breakfast. She was running all over the place. Chasing me & Jeff around the house laughing and trying to tickle us! She did go down for her morning nap earlier than usual!

Yesterday, Elizabeth decided to climb into the infant car seat before we loaded it in the car.

She also felt like rearranging my condiments and such from the fridge! One of her favorite things to do whenever I open the fridge.

Last Tuesday, she was mad about having her juice in a certain sippy cup and refused to drink out of it. She cried & cried & cried until we gave her one she wanted... So stubborn!

37 weeks pregnant today!

I cannot believe I am already 37 weeks pregnant today. Dilated to 3cm and 50% effaced.... Baby #2 is getting closer to being here and of course I'm not ready. Jeff has been so great throughout this whole pregnancy and has really been carrying the load of Elizabeth! To name one thing: he gives her a bath each night, no longer with my help.

Elizabeth has been so much fun lately too! Elizabeth loves playing with all her friends! She's walking every where and she's become a chatter box... When we went on vacation every time she say Jeff's dad she would smile and say "Pappa!" Her new word is "Uh, Oh" and more recently she's started saying "tickle, tickle, tickle" really fast, because when we tickle her that's what we say. It actually sounds like "ticka, ticka, ticka".

Father's day is this Sunday and I cannot wait to give Jeff his gifts. He is such a great dad and I love seeing him play with Elizabeth! She is becoming daddy's little girl more and more each day. When Jeff got home tonight from work, I was holding her and apparently she wanted daddy. He walked away to put his work stuff in the office and she started crying for him... and kept crying until Jeff could hold her. This is great timing for Elizabeth to get more attached to Jeff because of the new baby!
